Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge 3

Once or twice a year, daycare uses a bank holiday (such as today) to do a staff development day, during which daycare is closed for the day. Although Evie's gotten to the point where she doesn't need to be constantly entertained by someone else, Parker is still very much in need of fairly constant supervision and/or entertainment. His napping was also off today (I wonder if it had to do with the shots he received at his 1-year check-up), and so I felt like I was looking for various ways to keep him busy for most of the day, including running some errands.

Over the weekend, I started making a card for the current Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge:

I used the love + add shimmer + hearts across the top. The "love" die cut word is used at an angle across the bottom for the background. Heart doily (Target dollar spot!) combined with some free-hand cut vellum hearts. And silver washi tape, vellum strip, and metallic die cut word for the shimmer.

Bitty Bag Valentine's Goodie Bags

Last February, we had Parker shortly before Valentine's, and I wasn't feeling like crafting leading up to having Parker, so Evelyn's Valentine's cards were pretty simple (which is not a bad thing, because that's what I did growing up) and consisted of a card and a self-inking stamp. This year, since I didn't have a baby right before Valentine's, I'm way on top of Valentine's cards for Evelyn's class party!

Evelyn chose to do My Little Pony cards with pink goodie bags for the girls and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cards with navy goodie bags for the boys. With some assistance from me, she used the Horizontal Stripe Middy Bitty Bags in hot pink and navy to hold a Valentine's card, a bouncy ball, an eraser, and a couple of pieces of candy (though I didn't take pictures of the candy included).

On the outside, she used foam heart stickers to decorate the goodie bags, as well as heart-shaped gem stickers. We had to keep it a little less complicated because she was doing 22 of them, which included writing her own name on all the cards (not necessarily a fast exercise for someone still learning how to write).

Aside from the Whisker Graphics bitty bags, the Valentine's cards and heart-shaped gem stickers came from 99 Cents Only; the erasers and foam heart stickers came from Dollar Tree; the bouncy balls came from Fry's.
