Although we got photo strips after we took the pictures, they made the images available online the next day, so I had to have them for blogging / scrapbooking purposes. Add that to my growing list of things to scrapbook . . .

More Photo Booth
Back in September, Greg and I attended the wedding of a high school friend. It was a very nice wedding and she had some fun touches, like a gelato cart after the ceremony (it was still a bit on the hot side in September) and . . . a photo booth!

Turkey Leg Hat
Last weekend, one of the projects in the art studio at the children's museum was this turkey leg hat:
Part of what's fun about this toddler stage is that you'll ask them to put on a silly turkey leg hat and smile for daddy, and they'll do it with no questions asked!

Star on Each Hand
Greg took Evie to the Children's Museum this past weekend. One of the things that surprised Greg was that on hearing that they were going to the "big playground," Evie remembered getting the star stamped on her hand at the Children's Museum in the past. This time, Greg and Evie each got two stars - one on each hand:
Cute!

Pomegranate Love
Love = spending an hour and a half last night de-seeding a handful of pomegranates for your child. Because I think I'd have been too lazy to do it for myself.
Look at those squirrel cheeks full of pomegranate! (Greg took this picture last week when I had to work late and he at home with Evie).
Fruits of my labor: two containers of pomegranate seeds. I may have snuck a few bites after Evie went to bed . . .

Kenneth Cole Boots
I have a bit of a weakness for boots. I'd been casually keeping an eye out for boots with low or no heels, and when I saw these Kenneth Cole New York boots at Costco a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't pass them up. And they're $20 off until the end of the day!
Next step: get skinny jeans to wear with said boots. Up until this point, I'd resisted getting/wearing skinny jeans because what was in style when I was in high school/college was bootleg and flared jeans. Add that to the list of "Signs that I'm getting old" . . .

Go Playground
Evelyn has been loving the playground lately. She talks about it frequently: "Evelyn go playground." Greg snapped this picture at a McDonald's PlayPlace one night, during a week that I was on a business trip last month.
I saw the picture while I was at dinner with co-workers and was like, Whoa. My baby is a little girl. Where did the time go?!
Crafting, with the exception of finishing a quilt in time for the cooling weather, has been on hiatus since I got into busy season at work. But this picture makes me want to get it scrapped.
PS. When Evie was younger, I had this mild phobia of McDonald's PlayPlaces and how gross they were. I think I've gotten over that for the most part. I guess that's what happens when you find yourself cleaning poopy underwear out by swishing it around in the toilet bowl - at home, not in public. I balked at the thought at first . . . but it actually works pretty well, plus I don't want to run uber-poopy underwear through my washing machine.
