Earlier in the week, I went to Lee Lee's. Here's how my conversation went with Greg while driving home from Lee Lee's.
Greg: Soooo, what'd you get?
Me: I got some Yan Yan.
Greg: You got some what?
Me: I got some Yan Yan.
Greg: Whoa, whoa, Shirley, Shirley. You're just making up words now. Hey! Are you going by Wal-mart today? Could you pick me up some Flabber Jabber?
It made me laugh, even the next day. I guess I thought (mistakenly) that Greg had been with me long enough to know what Yan Yan was. I was telling him the next day that Yan Yan is one of those nostalgic childhood snack foods, for probably a lot of Asian kids. I have memories of snacking on Yan Yan when I was younger (while at Lee Lee's, actually - it's been around for a while).

Evie at 12 Weeks Old
Evie lately:
- Is most definitely responding to us with smiles.
- Is a champ now at finding her thumb to suck on.
- Is starting to be aware that she has feet and toes. And that she can control said feet and toes. (I don't think the connection is completely there yet, but there have been a couple times that we think she's been looking at her feet and flexing her toes while looking at her feet).
- Has a preference for being held in a sitting position so that she can look out at what's going on.
- Is funny when . . .
- She makes her uber-sad boo-hoo face with the protruding lower lip.
- She stretches after being woken up from sleeping.
- She gets startled and sticks her arms and legs straight out (the Moro reflex). This is starting to go away though.
- She puts her hands up next to her face while being fed. I read somewhere, though I don't remember where, that this is left over from when offspring had to compete with siblings to be fed.

Evie's Monthly Photos
At my work baby shower, I got a set of monthly onesie stickers from my work mentor. She got them off Etsy and a quick search showed that there are tons of monthly onesie stickers on Etsy.
Further monthly baby photo inspiration: the ones that Nicole at Making It Lovely took/takes of her daughter and son. Seeing the progression from newborn to toddler is so fun.
At the end, I'm planning on editing the pictures for size, using the monthly onesie stickers as the point of reference. I haven't really been happy with the location of these photos since Month One, but since that's what we started with, it was too late to change and still have consistency. I wish I'd done all the monthly pictures in the glider from the beginning, because then you can really see the change, but oh well. It's done. And she's still a cutie regardless.

Hate on the Baby
Friday morning, Greg got Evie up, changed, and dressed for daycare in the morning, like he usually does. He put her in a hat, which although I thought was super cute, didn't seem necessary for daycare. I suggested that we save the hat for the next day, when we planned to be walking around an outdoor mall.
Later in the day, we had this conversation over IM:
Greg: (something that prompted a "heh" from me)
Me: Hehe. Dude, I keep typing an extra "e" when I don't mean to. I don't know why. Anyway. Whatevs.
Greg: Heh. I noticed that. I thought you were just changing things up.
Me: No, I don't mean to type that extra "e."
Greg: So . . . hate on the baby tomorrow?
Me: What?
Greg: Oh sorry, I keep typing an "e" when I don't mean to.
Me: Heh. You are ghetto.
And now for HAT on the baby:

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #13 Card
Card for the latest CAS-ual Fridays challenge! I've never done a long card before, but I'm a fan since we just bought a box of letter size envelopes from Costco, which means that we'll be good on letter size envelopes for the next 20 years.
Little dresses are cut out from American Crafts Dear Lizzy paper. I think the little dresses will be super cute on a baby girl layout too, which I'm slowly getting to.
