Vinyl Wall Lettering

Got a birthday card from Stephanie today:


And along with that card, some vinyl wall lettering for my craft room!


Get it? "Eyelet" instead of "eye"? BUAHAHAHA. Okay, not really. I blogged about this phrase when talking about the Creating Keepsakes Convention. Yes, my desk is very messy.

Halloween Costume

At work, we had some Halloween festivities for which anyone not wearing a costume would be considered a total square. Here was mine:


In case you can't tell the details from the picture:

• I'm wearing a neon green fanny pack
• The shirt says "Fashion Club" and has a picture of some cutesy bunny or dog
• The hat has a solar-powered fan, which has been confirmed to be functional (see below for close-up)

Teal and White Embossed Card

I've gotten better about pulling together quick cards to have on hand, like this one:


It's blank and ready to be stamped with whatever the occasion may be (birthday, thank you, etc.). I've been making cards in pairs lately - since I already have to cut an 8.5 by 11 sheet in half to make one card, I might as well just make two of the same while I'm at it.

Nina can stay warm all winter long with her sweet threads! Lily already has enough fat to keep her going.

We don't end up watching SNL when it's actually on, but we do like watching sketches on Hulu. This "Don't Buy Stuff" sketch was pretty hilarious. Oh, ::tear::!

Yellow/Blue/Orange Thank You Card

I liked the layout of this Fall Bird Thanks card on the Unity Stamp Company blog, so I made my own version, sans bird since I was more a fan of the layout itself than the bird.


Lately, I've been favoring this Khaki cardstock from Paper Source as my go-to card color of choice. I bought a package of 100 sheets (originally to use in making a mini-album), so I better be getting some good use out of it.

Dying Server

When Greg bought our server four years ago, it was old. Now, it's really old. And dying, apparently. Although I can upload pictures to the server for blogging purposes, it appears that they are not loading when I pull up my blog. Boo. Until the problem is resolved, I'll have to utilize Picasa.

[Edit at 10:21 PM]: We figured out that it wasn't the server - it was the router. It had been reset too many times and reverted to default settings. :(

Birthday Cupcake Card

The scrapbooking/craft blogs tell me that tomorrow is "World Card Making Day." So I made some cards!

Last week, Emily made birthday cards with cupcakes using the Textile Cuttlebug embossing folder, so I followed her example and made a half-dozen of these to send out at a moment's notice:


Very simple, but alleviates the feelings I have about parting with hand-made cards that I send to people who I think will just throw them away.

Thought about adding something in the upper left corner, but I'm currently undecided about that. So it stays as-is until I think of something, if anything.
