What?! There's more than one Shirley Chai?!

I was flipping through the December issue of Creating Keepsakes the other day when I came across this:

Wha . . ?! That's my name . . . (at least until I took on Karnos). I did a little bit of investigating on a tool I like to call "Google" and this is what I came up with when I searched for "Shirley Chai":

Crazy. Now I know what it feels like to be "John Smith."

Professional Businesswomen's Group

Me: I was seeing if there was an actual professional businesswomen's group or something, in which case I might try to join.

Greg: There is. Linda is in it, I think.

Me: Oh. What is it called?

Greg: I don't know.
Greg: Phoenix Institute of Managerial Professionals for women, a.k.a. PIMP for women. It was either that or Phoenix Organization of Office Professionals for women, a.k.a. POOP for women.

Me: You = ghetto.

QVC Can Be Addictive

I've had more than one person tell me that they've had trouble seeing the pictures I'm posting . . . leave me a comment if that applies to you. I need to decide how high of a priority it is to address this picture issue.

I can't even describe how addictive QVC can be. I turn on the TV for some background noise and I can't stop watching what items they'll have on. And every item that comes on, I think to myself, Hey, that IS useful!

Here's what I mean:

QVC v21175 Folding Trunk Organizer with Waterproof Thermal Carrier
6-Way Folding Trunk Organizer with Waterproof Thermal Carrier
"Organizer" and "waterproof" . . . together? How can you go wrong?

QVC v24777 Satin Finish Adjustable Hangers

Satin Finish Adjustable Hangers
I've always wanted satin adjustable hangers!

QVC v23341 Decorative Ledges with Level-Line

Burnes of Boston Set of 3 Decorative Ledges with Level-Line
This does actually look kind of nice.

Card Exchange - Thank You Cards

I was invited to a card exchange last night by the wife of one of Greg's co-workers (Mandy). It was way fun - I'm always up for something crafty.

The theme was Thank You cards and I made these that I did a "prototype" of in a previous post: 07.01.2007. Some the cards were really creative - I was impressed. Here are the cards we exchanged:

We also made a card while we were there that Mandy put together. This was really creative too – makes me want to get a tab punch:
