Where have all the trick-or-treaters gone?
We had no trick-or-treaters tonight. Not a single one, save for the kids of two of Greg's co-workers who came by due to previously agreed upon arrangements. And we bought a big bowl full's worth of candy! How disappointing.

"Little did he know . . . "
" . . . that means there's something he doesn't know, which means there's something you don't know. Did you know that?"
I came home from class tonight to find this:
and this:
sitting on the table of my craft room.
I'm already thinking at this point, Man, Greg is so good to me . . . craft stuff, chocolate, flowers . . . Little did I know, however, that the flowers and craft stuff were merely a decoy for the real surprise - the contents of the See's Candies.
The little paper cup that was supposed to have held a mint truffle held this:
Oh, man. I didn't know what to say, but I had so many questions. Only, that wasn't the end. After some prodding by Greg to dig around the box of chocolates, I came out with this in hand:
Sweet. Greg had been adamantly denying that I was in need of any more dresses than what I currently own, but tee hee . . . guess what I'll be getting at White House | Black Market? Dresses! To wear with my necklace!
Jewelry isn't generally appealing to me. I don't crave it/want it/need it like some people. But when I get it from Greg, and I know how much time/thought/love is behind it, all I want to do is wear it. I'm so lucky to be with Greg and that he loves me so much.

Wilcoxson's
Greg's parents came back home from Montana this week and look what they brought back!
Yum . . . every time we go to Montana, we try to get our fill of this and other Wilcoxson's (mint) ice cream while we're there.
Also . . . with some help from Greg's mom, I was a painting machine this week. I finished painting the great room (a coat or primer and 2 coats of 2 colors) and I'm feeling quite accomplished.

I miss Annalis Scraptique
I just noticed this comment to one of my posts in je_veux_ceci (which, unfortunately, has been quite neglected since starting classes in summer):
I can't think of how she (Suzy = owner) would have found that particular post . . . maybe I left a comment on the Annalis Scraptique blog?
In any case, I've realized that there is an extreme shortage of scrapbook stores South and West of I-10 and North of South Mountain and I miss having a scrapbook store so close, which was nice about Ahwatukee - Jo Ann's, Michael's, local scrapbook store, and various other shopping within 10-15 minutes. Now, it's probably about a half-hour drive out to the same stores until we get more retail development out here.
I was in Ahwatukee running errands on Saturday, and made a stop at Annalis Scraptique, but I made it there about 10 minutes after it closed at 5:00 and I was muy disappointed.
